Jane Wyman was an American actress, singer, dancer, and philanthropist. Her career spanned more than seven decades. She was the winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress for the 1948 film Johnny Belinda. She was also the first wife of actor Ronald Reagan. They married in 1940 and divorced in 1949. Wyman's professional career began at age 16 in 1933, when she signed with Warner Bros. Wyman followed common practice at the time when she added three years to her age. A popular contract player, she frequently played the leading lady, her roles including starring alongside William Hopper in Public Wedding, Ronald Reagan and Eddie Albert in Brother Rat and its sequel Brother Rat and a Baby, Dennis Morgan in Bad Men of Missouri, Marlene Dietrich in Stage Fright, and Sterling Hayden in So Big. She was also featured opposite Rock Hudson in Magnificent Obsession and All That Heaven Allows, both directed by Douglas Sirk. She was a three-time winner of a Golden Globe Award. She achieved continuing success in the television soap opera Falcon Crest, in which Wyman played the lead role of villainous matriarch Angela Channing.

OK this might give it away. In the mini series his brother-in-law was a chemistry teacher and was diagnosed with Stage IIIA lung cancer. He initially got into crime to fund his treatment and to provide for his family if he should die from the disease.

Hi Jack no it's not him. As another clue, in the mini series the criminal activity his brother-in-law was in was using his knowledge of Chemistry to cook up drugs. If you concentrate on the brother-in-law you will find him.

I knew who he was, bit could not put a name to him. Then the clue lead me to Breaking Bad, still could not put a name to him. Generally dont like using google search for names, but as no one else has got him, I thought I would.

Prior to his acting career, Aaron Pedersen worked as a journalist with ABV2 at Elsternwick studios in Melbourne.
Career
His acting career began in 1994, when he starred in the mini-series Heartland and was voted Bachelor of the Year by Cleo magazine.[3] He came to notice in 1995 as co-host of Gladiators Australia, an Australian game show.
Pedersen's first major acting role was for Wildside in 1997. In 1999, he played Michael Reilly in Water Rats, for two seasons. His other dramatic roles he have included MDA (in 2002) and The Secret Life of Us (2005).
Since 2007, he had the leading role in SBS' drama series, The Circuit, and in 2007, he began appearing in Channel Seven's drama, City Homicide (which ended in 2011).
He appeared as Cam in ABC Television's Jack Irish series in 2012, and plays Frank Gibbs, an indigenous war veteran, in season 5 of A Place to Call Home. In 2018, he starred as detective Jay Swan in the ABC TV series Mystery Road, reprising the role he played in the movie Mystery Road (2013) and its sequel, Goldstone (2016).
