Handycapped, first click can either be on User details on blue bar or on your name where you log in. That will bring up your page with Profile and then click on Avatar and you download your picture. Looking forward to seeing it!
Hi Ruth and happywanderer. Yes I did that and picked a photo and clicked choose but nothing happened. Maybe my PC is playing up. I'll try again. Thanks
Hi Harry and Andrea - when you get to the Avatar page - browse and choose your new avatar photo from your computer, then click "Submit" - doesn't take long if you have good reception.

Jules I love your avatar. Proves why we don't have such good roads in Australia. We're just as big as USA but they have far more people and far more taxes collected per sq km to build far better roads. We used this map overlay concept to show American school kids that we were just as big as the USA.
Sorry for hijacking your thread Handycapped. Hope you've soon sorted your avatar problem.
Make sure the pic you want is in you photo's on your iPad then go into your profile on GN's open Avatar then delete current AV and load your new one. I see you don't have an Av so maybe just forget the delete current one bit. Be aware that your new AV will show up on all previous posts though.
I hope that works for you.

Thought of that NeilnRuth - don't think it will work though, looking at the profile page.
Have you seen the map of Australia with Europe superimposed over it? no wonder Europeans come out here with no idea of distances!!!!
In Tassy noticed that a lot of the signposts not only had mileage, but also drive time shown - good idea!!

Hi Jules. No not sorted yet, my internet is very slow so maybe that's the reason. I clicked all the correct things and picked a photo. I'll give it another go while I have coverage. I use my iPhone as hotspot for PC as I have cut off my broadband for travelling and I am in a very poor location for mobile.
Also to Ruth tks I have just the pic for it - if I can get it on there.
Hi Ruth (and others) you will see that I have done it. It must have been internet reception as this time it started immediately and took a couple of minutes only. Thanks to all for hints. Can't wait to get back on the road as soon as school goes back.
