Sth East Qld

Here we are on the Sunshine Coast.  We had organised to house sit for Feb/March but that has been cancelled (we cancelled as we didn't agree with some details of house sit which we were not given before).   But now we need to find a preferably free camping spot to fill in those 2 months without having to go too far.  I suppose if necessary we would go up to 200 kms.  Anyway has anyone any suggestions.  Cheers Alice

Have a look at Kandanga, (between Gympie & Cooroy, on the western side of the Bruce), a free camp, or Pomona showground, a pay site but not a lot for that area. Both in the camps book & I can recommend both.

Was wondering just yesterday where you guys were - good to hear you are going well. Shame about the house sit - but something will turn up for you.

Got the appointment for Keith's eyes yet? And all else is good with the motorhome as well?

We are in Wangaratta at the moment, in a CP - very, very hot down here - this whole week, heading to the Snowy Mountains area, via Wilks Park at Wagga Wagga probably today.

Hi Alice, I do not know of any free spots for that long but Maleny show grounds was $15 per night and Woodford showgrouds was $95 per night and I am not sure how long you can stay at the free camp north of Gympie on the left hand side going north. It is a nice spot. There is free camping near the river at Kenilworth which is nice also.
