Hoping someone might be able to help. I can't get hot water to come out of mixer tap over kitchen sink (cold only) , if i turn hand basin on when hot water arrives sink is fine. All on same line kitchen tap is first in line . Thanks Geoff.disbelief

More info required.
Did it originally work OK?
Does any water come out when the mixer is in full hot water mode?
Does the hot water continue at the kitchen once the hand basin is turned off again?
If so, does it gradually go cold?

Sounds like a faulty mixer tap internal cartridge. If that is not the case,

your sink tap hot water in line is hooked up wrong  to the basin HW tap  inlet pipe somehow. 

I would check all the plumbing pipes.Shut off valves if any to by passes etc.

I seriously doubt that was the problem, he did say that he was getting hot water at the basin. Bit hard to do that if the system is not on. Either way, it looks as though he is not coming back.

Yes once the hot water starts to flow it is fine and it stays hot. could be a faulty mixer tap.Going to drop water line off to see if hot water flows to there. Thanks
