Grae & De, just below you on the same forum page that you used is a thread titled "How to Use A Thetford Toilet". Scroll down to about reply 6 or 7 and there is a link to a chap who describes how to car for and maintain Thetford Toilets. Really useful info to the point the seal may not need replacing, just servicing. Hope this helps.

The first is a how to use a van toilet video from from a reputable victorian dealer:

www.youtube.com/watch

The second is a series of three videos on thetford cassette maintenance, well worth viewing just for the understanding, this is a link to the first of the three:

www.youtube.com/watch

Copied this so it might be easier.

I have just replaced the main hole seal on mine - and after unscrewing the surrounds and removing the old one, got the new seal out of the packet and found a whole set of instructions. Have you opened the packet yet? Luckily I had done the job right.

I have had our C200 vent out numerous times when cleaning and they can be tight but require approx 1/4 turn anti-clockwise and also a firm pulling up or slight levering as the "O" Ring seal can be fairly tight if not removed for a while. I also lubricate the "O"Ring seal with Olive Oil on reassembly. The Swivel Outlet is also removed the same way(albeit more like a 1/2 turn anti-clockwise) as it has similar locking tabs like the vent with a larger "O"Ring seal.

Cheers Kev.
