Camping spots in SA

Hi all, we have just arrived in South Australia having done the big trip across the Nullarbor. Has anyone suggestions where to park up for a few nights. We have a big rig(Volvo bus plus trailer) that is 19M long. Camps Australia only suggests sights for rigs 10m long.

any help would be great

thanks

you would have been OK at Head of the Bight in the carpark at the gate. Caretaker tells me that many camp there. Mount Dutton woolshed may be ok. (near Coffin Bay) Good road in there and $15 per night. No power - had a look at it yesterday.

I would also consider Pt Lincoln Caravan Park which is actually at North Shields about 14kms North of Port Lincoln....its a misnomer the name of the Park as its not in Port Lincoln..they got in first with the name originally...I sold it once for them....attributes: I reckon it will accommodate your rig....right on absolute sea front looking out to Boston Bay...small jetty..good fishing..boat ramp...excellent Pub at North Shields with yummy reasonable meals every night..North Shields is a smallish settlement of few hundred homes...has about 30 cabins as well and good ablution blocks...used to be reasonable tariff...quiet location....central to Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln, the bottom end Whalers Way etc etc....great spot....Hoo Roo

With all due respect, Spida, Cleve Showgrounds is as you wrote, but with excellent power. Possibly be up to 24 plus outlets to use around the ablution block area. May have at least a 50 m walk to the ablutions at most!
