I am so sorry for starting the thread regarding early risers that make a noise. It seems to have started a spate of complaints, still I guess that is life wether on the road or in a house.
I am normally a very positive person and not too much upsets me, I like to think live and let live, but this morning the noise really got to me.
I am also a fairly early riser on most mornings and make sure that I do things very quietly to ensure that I do not upset fellow campers, and did the same when I lived in a house. Courses for horses I suppose.
Anyway had a wonderful day in spite of the morning noise. Went to my son's house for lunch and was presented with a Dream Pot from my three boys and their wives for Christmas. I was so thrilled and love them all to bits that they did something that would not have been on their radar as such. I spoken about maybe getting one later on.
So all good and once again my apologies to anybody I have upset and John you may put away the whingy pills now. All good again.

Didn't worry me Shekon but I do relate to your thread. I tend to wear earplugs and also drive long distance trucks so it takes a bit to wake me. What amuses me is the ones who are on the road at 6 am to go where. Most of the joy in what I do is on the road 8 - 8.30, we tend to stop about 9.30 - 10 for a bite but we are stopped for the night at around 3 pm. People must be really tired with the rush, rush, rush of their caravan trip. Sure, they have been everywhere but had little time to enjoy anything. Why????
Bunkerbob, I used to wonder about that too and while we were heading up the centre last year I asked one bloke what the story was;
he said they get up and go early so they can get a good spot at the next campsite.
could not believe it was that important
we tend to get going about 8.30/9.00 and enjoy our journey to the next camp. no rush, take a side trip, have a meal somewhere. I really don't care that XXXXX got to the next camp 2 hours before me. If there is no room I am sure I will find a spot somewhere for the night.

Hey don't Say sorry for Starting a thread about Early riser's..
I'm in BB's train of thought..
The ONLY time I get up early is to get somewhere Before the main traffic start's to Flow..
If your not in a rush to get somewhere, especially if it's only a short trip..[Less than 4-5hr's] I don't bother to get up early..
Take your time and enjoy the drive..

Don't be sorry mate, and if it hit home to some then so be it.. like bunkerbob said why rush rush to get there when if ya take ya time it is so much more enjoyable..

If there is more than about 3 vans/MH at the spot we would have liked to pull up at we just go and find another spot..
we plan on stopping around 4.00 but if we have to drive on a bit then so be it.. and if we like the spot we sometimes stay on for a few days..
I gave up rushing when I finished starting at 8.00am and finishing at 5.00pm Mon-Fri
No apologies needed Sharon and no need for the pills either, you have made a very valid point, I am an early riser but try to be considerate of others.
We will reserve the pills for a deserving whinge, still got plenty left having had few whinges over the festive season here at Greens. John
I am usually up and about before 6:00 as most of my working life I was at work before or at 5:00 but I never venture far from my bus and usually use the morning for a photography walk and then browse the forums etc.
I prefer to wait till 10:00 before leaving a site (let the workers get to work etc) and then plan my dy to be camped before 2:00.
The driving is to get me to a new spot whether it is 10Km or 300Km but never further, and 300 is only when I have a need to get somewhere for a special event.
I have often talked to people who arrive at the site after 10:00 at night and are packing to leave before 6:00 as they have 3 weeks to do the lap. I bet they need another 3 weeks to recover from their HOLIDAY.
I try to camp away from others so I don't annoy anyone and prefer to be on my own as I fly model helicopters in the morning if I can and I also sometimes play a brass instrument to amuse myself so not a thing for groups LOL.
People moving don't normally annoy me but the playing of loud music and noisy generators running after dark sometimes do as I am normally looking for bed within an hour of sunset.
I think a lot of the current discussions may be to get some activity going on the forum as it has been quiet for a while.
Regards
Brian
