Sitting back enjoying Boxing Day lunch with the other grey nomads when this poor demented soul decided to off load his jet skis almost in front of us. Odd to say the least as an excellent concrete boat ramp was only about 100 metres away. Obviously an elevated idea of 4WD capability. Not to worry, towed out without major drama. Then decided to load them up almost the same way. Not bogged this time but neither effort did the foreshore or probably his ute & trailer much good.
Hopefully they leaned something. Probably also had a good time and will be a good tale for them to tell next year. Xmas and Boxing day makes people behave strange.
Gave us all some entertainment though, didn't it? Amazing the things that happen out here - couple of toilet tents blew down when a gust of wind came through - usually by the end of the Christmas break out here there are some amazing things in the dump bin - chairs, tents, tent poles, blow up boating things - there is even a microwave in there right now!!!

Yep sure has plenty of entertainment at Greens and I tell you that for free. Seen many stupid things being done there.
That is one of the reasons I like to get the lake side sites and about 20-30 mts left of the ramp. Plenty of free entertainment with the advantage of "Absolute" water frontage. As I mentioned somewhere else it is double the cost of the "Tree Line" sites but hey, I can live with that.

Here in Warneet the boat ramps are very entertaining - ramp rage being the quality event.
One day a non local tied up alongside the jetty at full tide then went ashore to a party somewhere.
When he later staggered back to see a large crowd looking at his boat hanging in mid air after the 3.5M tide was priceless.
He had the gall to scream abuse at us amused bystanders as if we made the tide go so low.
Yep boats, alcohol and low IQ = entertainment.
Cheers and laughing at others misfortune is the Australian way.
But wait, there's more. Today another moron tried the same trick. After a couple of attempts he decided perhaps selecting 4WD might be a good idea, managed to crawl out. Plan B was apparently to disconnect the boat trailer & leave it there until time to get the boat out. Quite a few sheep missing out of the top paddocks down this way apparently.

The ramp at Greens can be a problem as well cos it's not a good slope at all. I have seen a car with boat and trailer attached that far into the water trying to launch the boat I was thinking he was actually tying to launch the car. The CAR had water half way up the door and the driver got out. He got quite upset to think water came in the car. I couldn't work out why he got upset though Oh, and the boat still wasn't in the water enough for an easy launch.
Some people are very good at launching their boats though and use ropes or similar so the car doesn't even go in the water. You can tell the experienced ones for sure.
I love to set up camp just near the ramp at Greens, I am well entertained for sure.
