Gluten free cooking

I am new to gluten free cooking, not enjoying some of it, but am doing my best, husband Cliff eats similar to me.  Have not yet found bread I can eat, and been to an expo and tried everything, except for toasted and hot.  At least can eat meat, veg, dairy etc and happily wine is on the list...Pat

Hello Patcliff

We to are gluten intolerent and we have been about 7 + years doing all

the good things that we are suppossed to do, and our daughter found this

packet mix that does ,bread, rolls, lunch wraps, pancakes, pizza, tortilla, cakes and it doesn't taste

like cardboard !!! It is called Easy Bakers from Safeway and Coles and it is made by Laucke Flour

The only problem is when she makes bread, I have to fight the grand kids for the crust I reackon its that good

Hope this helps,we know what your going thru.

Regards     Brian & Lana

PS .  Next time we go away Im going to try it in the camp oven as a test.

Hi , i am also gluten intolerent, have found most bread is either like cardboard and or very heavy. We have now found a bread mix which is quite good and only takes about an hour to make no rising just mix and bake. It is Basco. Also there is one in the bread section  called LifeStyle Bakery gluten free soft 'n' light  thy do a variety of different ones including Fruit which i love to toast. Hope this helps. Supermarkets  now have a section in one isle that have gluten free products. Diane &Don
