Not really a caravaning problem but I didn't know where else to ask.
Are there any electrical orientated handymen/ladies out there who can help me repair the electrics on an elliptical walking machine?
I have a chronic lung problem so under doctors advise I bought an elliptical walking machine but, as I couldn't afford a new or even a good second hand one I was lucky enough to pick up a working one for $30 but without the electrics working. I can still use it but it would be better to see the distances etc.
I'm trying to find out where the little inbuilt battery holder connects up to this circuit board. It has been ripped out and is missing so I think I can get a new one from Dick Smiths but I know not where to connect the wires. Any help would be much appreciated.
If anyone can help I'll post pics of the circuit board from the little panel in the front as I have taken the cover of it.
Cheers
Jon

the machine i had did have a battery holder but no wiring
the only power connection was on the base of the front post an it looked like a headphone connection hole and took a adapter
try googling the brand name of your machine and look for an on line manual

Much thanks.I checked and found a socket right down the bottom at the back of the machine that, I think, would take a 240v transformer to DC lead but as yet I don't know the wattage though, to look at the compartment, I think it would take 2 AA batteries so would be 3v. Checked for a manual with no luck. Last resort, I experiment with the transformers I have here starting with the lowest wattage and work my way up. I would prefer it to run off batteries as it will be under cover outdoors.
Cheers

Thanks for that Bob. I dragged it to it's new home and plugged it in and it works great. I'll get a short extension lead to keep there permanently to save worrying about trying to figure out how to connect a battery.
Cheers
Jon
