Where are we all going to be for xmas / new year.

We are full time on the road so xmas happens for us where ever we are, we dont go home to family, they got a visit earlier when air fares were cheap.

we have decided to stay at Mansfield for the xmas and new year period Before making our way across Vic to SA.

What does every body else do?

Same here Kerri & Paul we are on the road full time also. About to leave Katherine after doing the mango season, and head to Bendigo/Ballarat Victoria, to catch up with family. We will be having Christmas Day on the road somewhere between here and there, hopefully at a free camp with lots of like minded travellers to share a bit of the Christmas cheer with. We wish you all a Happy & Healthy Christmas and of course Safe Travelling. Gypsy

Hi Pat and Cliff. You will love your 5th wheeler.
We have the Jayco 28.8 ft as well. Ours is the very first one to be reg on the road so we jokingly say we are the test dummies.
We got ours in Oct ( two months late) and love it.
We are also heading to SA in Feb for a few months so keep an eye out for us.
This is ours all hooked up.

hope all have a great xmas and safe travels and if you see our rig, please come and say hi and have a drink with us. Will be in bendigo early Jan if anyone is about. Prob at the showgrounds. Rig is due for first service at  Jayco.

I live in Launceston, Tas., and Myrtle Park is only 45 minutes drive away. I'm going there for a few days. Operated by Launceston City Council, fee is $6.00 a nite. Good toilets and showers, huge kitchen and BBQ. Biggest attraction for me is the river running alongside, so with some luck, trout for Christmas !!! biggrin

Stay safe in this heat.

we are home for xmas every year from December to march, that way we keep out of the way of the rat race holidays. Family all live in Aus, so we have quiet solitude and peace, just love it. We do cruise to all the music and other festivals we have during that time, they are always a great time.

I will be home with my two young daughters. Les has to work and his boss has sent him back up north to live again, so he is home for 2 days every 14. We celebrated our Christmas Day last Sunday before Les left for work today. If we didn't need the money he'd quit. Hopefully next year is the year he finally retires permanently this time....

Work sucks sometimes :(

 Then do it.

This will be my sixteen time into Vancouver.

British Columbia has to have among the most spectacular countryside on the planet.

Take a two day gold leaf trip from Banff to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer, beats every other train journey in the world hands down.

Yep we plan to. Go there and alaska, the Uk ect and where ever else our money strecthes to. Just have to wait for some elderly family members to cross the bridge as we want to go over seas on a one way ticket and just come back when the travel fund runs out.
Too risky at the moment, would be our luck we would have to fly home for an emergancy.

Brian - another of the GNs - Triple333 - is in Canada at the moment for the Christmas break - not sure how long she is staying - never know you might run into her over there!!!

We already celebrated Christmas with the whole family plus a few spares. Was fantastic. We will spend Christmas day on the central coast with the grandkids the back to Chaffey Dam with friends for New Year. Can't wait.
Hope you all have a wonderful time and stay safe on the road.

Christmas Day somewhere in a free camp, on the Stuart Highway between Coober Pedy and Port Augusta, if any grey nomads out there see a big Maroon & White Bus with "On the Wallaby" signwriting, call in for a Christmas Cheer. We won't have internet access I wouldn't think. Merry Christmas to All and Keep Safe.
