Dog Bates

Just a breif note to remind fellow travellers of 1080 bates in WA most of the top national parke in WA have just had new bates layed which is done from the air  and spreads every where so please be aware as your dog will die a painful death if eaton.

I spend 9 months a years travelling in remote areas and have used a mussel on my dog scince a pup I use a working dog one as that allows the dog to drink but  not eat and the leather ones are no good as they have a solid piece of leather over the snot which makes it hard for the dog to breath in the heat , hope this info helps some one MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL from Red Dog and mate

We were advised by one camp in Canumulla that bates had recently been laid for wild pigs etc and that our dog only had to walk on the residue of the bates and that could be enough to poisen her if she licked her paws.....so yes...be very careful

Cheers
