I'm not there at the moment but I spent some time there a few years ago & return there every year. Great place that should be on everyone's must see list. The forgotten end of the Great Ocean Road. In my opinion the Narrawong Caravan Park is the best I have EVER stayed in. Keep in mind everyone has differing ideas on what makes a great caravan park. I love it at Narrawong because you can camp right on the Surrey River & it's only a very short walk to the beach. Lots of nice grass too, right up to the river. Make sure you get out to see Bridgewater Bay, if you can do the walk to Seal lookout (I thinks that's what it's called) & get to see the petrified forest & blowhole.

Am I right in thinking there's a wetlands walk at Portland? I know there's the war memorial in a lighthouse type structure, with a tram from town - we went there; I was ok til it came time to come back down - that's a lot of stairs to come down on your bum ;)

Was raining a fair bit when we were there late November last year, but it seemed a pretty place.
