I am so very much excited. After selling our much loved camper trailer a couple of years ago and trying to decide on a caravan for our future travels which has been very very difficult as none of them were able to tick all our boxes and just didn't seem right. After asking many many questions on here and probably sending some of you batty we have decided.
I was looking on trading post today and saw something that caught my eye. It is built by the same company who made our camper trailer. We went to have a look at them and it was decided. We have purchased. It will be approx 12 weeks till delivery.
We have brought an Outback Campers Off Road Tanami. It comes with everything we want. We have added an annexe and thats it. SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!
I don't know how to add the link with the pictures.

Wow! How exciting for you two, Ug and Vic...
..And to find exactly what you want is a task within itself..Sooooo know how you feel tho as we are still on cloud 9 after finally making the big decision to purchase our new home on the road...happy travels...
Well. It's the morning after the decision to buy the camper. This is normally when the doubts kick in and there is not 1!
I am still happy with our choice.
Can't wait to hit the road! A couple of short practice ones to begin with I think!!!
What did Karen and Greg decide on? When do you get it?
If you are like us, I am thinking plates, cups etc..... Hubby is thinking of making room in the shed and rearranging.

Hi Ug & Vic, We bought a Palomino Bronco slide on 1200...very happy...we picked it up a couple of weeks ago...Have a few pics in "show us your rig" Yep!!! I was all about how, what, where am I going to put this & that and we already had a place to park it up out of the weather... keep us posted...
Yes thats it John.
We were looking at vans but they just didn't feel right. We have owned one of Outbacks Campers before and we loved it. We had the Sturt. The after sales service from the company has always been brilliant.
I think the vans just felt a bit enclosed for us.
We are hoping to go around Aus just as people would in a van but in our camper plus the less travelled bits.
It was half the price of the off road vans we were looking at with pretty much all the same stuff except the hard walls and roof.
It will cost less to tow as there is no drag and we can store it in our garage and not have to pay for storage.
There is plenty of room in it for the grand kids when we take them without having to buy a van with bunks or tables that fold and put more people in the enclosed space.
We are so very happy and can't wait until its finished so we can go on a holiday and enjoy it.
Interesting in the fact that I'm in the process of selling a Camper..
As a solo A camper is good if your going to camp in 1 spot for a while..
Me I'm after something that I can camp in one spot and have a very simple pack up and setup..
the Camper took me over 2hr's to setup.. and 2hr's to pack-up.. so that is why it's going..
So it's just me.. the Camper is not for me..

Ours can be set up in a short time. We have set it up in the shop and previously had one. For short overnight stops then just the tent section needs to be set up.
Our old camper which was made by the same company never took us 2 hours to set up. Maybe it's because you are on your own. If I was on my own I would not even consider a camper trailer. Maybe a small pop top van... One of the ones you can walk in at the back.
What sort of camper are you selling and where are you locate? Maybe post some pics.
At the moment we can't afford a van and none appealed to us. We are still relatively young and haven't retired as yet. (49 and 52).
Maybe when we are a little older and get on the road more then we may upgrade to a van but for now it will be holidays to wherever with the dogs if possible and the grandies when we can.
