CPAC Machine 12/24 volt

Hello All

Can anyone inform me to what is the extent of wattage use for a CPAC machine operating via 12 volts.   And how long would I expect to get running off 2x120 Ah batteries.  Have one 130 watt solar panel on roof as a recharging medium, backed up by generator, if necessary.

Happy Caravanning

Depending on the Model of Cpac machine..

The One I have is 66w.. At 12v that's 5.5A.. But that is including the humidifier, which uses power.. most machine's can be split so you can only use the pump..

- The demand's depends on the hour's of use..
Say 2-3Ah per hour..
Say 6-8hr for 18-24Ah's.. [If I have the math's right]

I'm not 100% sure if the 130w Panel on the Roof is enough to replenish the charge used by the Cpac machine..

Most CPAP machines when running on a battery do not use the humidifier, even if it is still joined to the CPAP,speaking from personal experience  I think the combination of panels and batteries will be plenty for many nights sleeping. It all depends on what other items are using the batteries. You can ring the supplier (manufacturer)of the CPAP and they will confirm the wattage and the estimated time you will be able to use the CPAP. cheers Peter.

Hi
Your power setup is the same as ours and we have had no trouble at all . Just make sure you use aeroplane mode and don't use the humidifier
We use 12v for tv lights charging phones cameras laptops etc every day and even on cloudy days we have not even come close to low battery power
CPAP is used on average 12hrs nightly
Hope this helps
Cheers

Thanks for the post Two Strays, I was wondering the same thing......I will be using a 130ah battery and have a 140wat solar panel, so should be OK.
