hi all we are in perth to work for a few years but are having trouble in finding a spot to live as the caravan parks will not take us we have a 40' motorhome with a trailer which houses our prado 4wd so my question does anyone have any ideas as where we may be able find somewhere to live our m/home is what we live in full time. hubby is a truck driver and hopefully soon I will have my mc licence and then we hope to do 2up driving from perth to Sydney any comments would be most helpful thank you
There is a place out between Kewdale and Midland that is owned by a church group. Cant think of the suburb. Accepts all comers. Not 5 star but clean and acceptable from what I am told.

Think that probably would be the Seventh Day Adventist (adventurers) grounds on Kalamunda Road (opposite the golf course) in Maida Vale.
Cheers

Have you tried Kingsway Tourist Park on Wanneroo Rd. They have some big bays there. They have room for big rigs. (but I believe they no longer allow dogs).Judging from what we could see as we passed there yesterday they are allowing permanents again.
Hi Sufil - Long time no see. Hope you are enjoying your travels in WA. Dizzy, when we were last in WA & needed to stay in an area for a few months we did a house sit. Regards Alice
Dizzy
Perth is our home town and we always struggle caravan park wise, with our 30' 5th wheeler ! We have 2 dogs with us too so not good for Perth I'm afraid.
We do have friends in Mandurah with 5 acres so usually park there and commute to Perth to see our kids on the train, even then its awkward as the block is hilly and sandy and so easy to get bogged ! (been there done that twice !)
I was told the waterski park near Coburn takes big rigs but could be noisy at weekends, a couple of parks North of Perth are Willowbrook farm but W of Gingin, and another I saw mentioned on here, think it was called Eco something or other, but both would be a trek into the city.
We used to park up at Burns Beach but very small expensive park and hard to get into, plus not nice owners (well the old man anyway).
We did meet a couple who were parked in their bus at Goomalling CP but they were working too and finding it hard to find anywhere closer to the city.
Maybe stick an add in Gumtree to see if you can find someone willing to let you park on their block privately and pay for the privilege.

Thatwould be my recommendations also, plenty of room there but office is shut on Saturdays, We have used it as storage a few times and found them great to deal with
I have stayed in the Discovery CP in Hale Rd Forrestfield. When I was there, there was also some truckies there with their rigs. Nice surroundings and not too expensive.
I live in Perth so maybe we could catch up sometime.
just an update to all that had suggestions most parks are now tourist parks and no longer have permanents and don't seem to want to have big rigs either we have checked out most we are going to see one one up near GinGin the ecco park nature friendly or something (hope its not a nudie) no just joking sounds great and the hour or so to travel to work is fine as we will then be in the truck for the next three days.
so a big thank you to all dizzyxx
