VAST eligibility

G'day Mick,

If you are a traveller you automatically qualify for travellers access. This gives you 6 months and you can renew online a month before expiry. the location check you are looking at is for FIXED installations where a viable digital tv signal can not be received.

you can see some info here: www.mysattv.com.au/Eligibility.aspx

hope that helps

frank

The mysatty website states that you can check your eligibility for VAST before you buy a decoder. However I can find no reference to where this is done. They implication is that this is done on the normal travellers application page but you cannot close the page without a smart card number. Has anyone else done this, if so could you post the link. Thanks in anticipation.

Mick

Thanks Wombat,

don't you get annoyed when someone comes in here and asks for help with something and when the help is given there is no sign of them?

not even a thanks mate?

maybe I need a holiday or a getaway or something.

might head to Greens maybe.

oh sorry wrong place to post anything about greens.

Agree entirely,,, my worst case (he still comes on line) was a conversion of brakes to hydraulic for a van,,, he bought a kit against advice etc etc. I did hours of FACTUAL RESEARCH FOR HIM. He adanmant that it would work and be legal so I did more research and no thanks or anything. He went quiet and wouldn't respond to PM also.

Bottom line was I think he was too embarrassed at his failure and loss of heaps of money to what are rougues IMHO selling to those who know no better. But to ignore advice which was my specialty in the field was a bit silly.

Yes Baz, amazes me how some survive to retirement age.

never mind, your conscience is clear you did the very best you could.

people are strange beings at times and the example of the wet paint sign is quite relevant I think.
