Check out this Caravan Park at Tingalpa. I stayed there about 2 years ago. About 10 km from Royal Brisbane:

I think there is a caravan park at Aspley (Nth Brisbane) about 5 kms away from hospital & on a bus route.  Hope your son recovers soon

Good luck Clarence.  I have two GN friends who are staying at Newmarket Caravan Park.

Can definitely recommend Newmarket Gardens Caravan Park at Newmarket. It has easy access to hospital and is closest to the city. Public transport available nearby. Thoughts are with you and trust that all will be well. Regards,Ken

We recently spent 4 weeks at Aspley because my daughter was in that hospital. the Newmarket one is much closer, and a bit quieter as Aspley is right beside a very busy road.

Clarence, have you asked about the Ronald Macdonald house there? If you are eligible, they are WONDERFUL! My son in law stayed there with their 3 year-old, and while we were minding the little boy, we were welcome too, although we chose to stay in the caravan.

Very best wishes to you and your son.

I too hope your son is well soon. I believe parking at the hospital is very expensive so public transport a worthwhile option.
