Lake Moogerah camping/cooking weekend

A group of South African Expats are meeting at Lake Moogerah (near Boonah Qld) this coming weekend and cooking with Potjie Pots.

This will be our first camping weekend with our new Motorhome.

I am taking a couple of Potjie Pots and hope to learn some cooking tips from the South Africans.

Could be wet but we have a good awning on the Motorhome so should be able to go ahead cooking with Heat Beads.

I am cooking Pea and Ham Soup Friday night to share and will make a couple of Aussie Dampers,  Saturday night I m cooking a beef Cape Malay Curry to share.

More information on request if anybody is interested.

For those who do not know the South African Potjie Pot I will post a photo below.

Cheers - David

Sounds yum David. I love a good pea soup, in fact, I love soup in general. Nothing like good old home made soup.

David - how did your weekend at Moogerah go? Didn't get caught in the storms - heard there wasn't any hail out at the Lake, but I know Boonah and Kalbar copped it pretty hard!!!

Love Moogerah - such a great spot - used to live in Boonah.

Shut the front gate!!!!!!!!!

How amazing does all that look! Just fantastic. I could smell all that yummy food from here. You sure don't go hungry at your camp sites David and I tell you that for free.

Beryl has no idea how much cast iron I got stashed away in the Motorhome!

There is even an OzPig and a Volcano Stove under the seats!

The RV is a bit slow going uphill!

Looking at your Avan camper,  just wondering if you have a Wandering Bares sticker like myself?
