Hi there everyone, we have returned from a trip in our caravan . We went to the Back To Nature caravan site West of Gingin. , then onto Ledge Point Big 4 site. The first site Back to Nature was ok, rather quiet and they are doing up the site with new amenities. the flies & mossies were annoying though ,got bitten a lot (they seem to like me more). The power went out due to thunder & lightening, this site was disappointing could put up with the heat- bit not the swarms of flies & mossier.
next we went to the Ledge Point site. Shocked to find out that they charged $52 for a powered caravan site. We did not know this until we arrived and it was getting late in the day. Reluctantly we paid. We have never paid this much ,even in Peak period in WA. Also there was a refundable bond of $50 for our dog (understandable). Won't be staying here again, make it an expensive stay.
by the way the Back To Nature site charge $30 powered, $20 unpowered
this too I think is a little expensive . Spoke to the others (1van) and they also agreed .there were only 2 vans on site
There are great camping spots around without having to go to Caravan parks. Most WA overnight stops seem to have amenities now. Kwolyin is one. Free 24 hour parking at York.
