All pretty flat all the way to Esperance. Little bit hilly heading west to Albany but not too bad, probably the worst is in Ravensthorpe but handled by Road Trains so not an issue. If you are going into Perth via the Great Eastern be aware that there is a really steep descent which is 40kms for trucks and police do watch it. Lose the brakes down here, trouble. Spend time in Esperance, it is really beautiful. Cape Le Grand National Park is a must see as is Stonehenge. On the way to Albany take the detour to Wave Rock. Magnificent and do not let anyone deter you. Highlight of the area IMHO. Watch the fuel price over the Nullarbor. Eucla and Mundrabilla are significantly cheaper than Caiguna and ****lebiddy. Plan the usage and fill with enough + a little bit to get you to Norseman. Norseman to Esperance is 200kms and there is both a Woolies and a Coles Express for the dockets but Esperance does not have a Coles Supermarket.
Take your time, those who say it was a boring drive need to examine themselves rather than the scenery.

Road rules get you a bit - you see signs "Trucks do not use engine brakes"

Rules now - vehicles over 4.5t HAVE to have jake/exhaust switched ON at All times .

Unless you Have to go to Adel , I used to load at Boort  , go up th Calder to Mildura , Renmark , Morgan, Burra, Pt Augusta .

right hander , I will get around th left hander(big , big camber)  I did not realise , my 3L Toymoter , was handling th climb pretty good ,

I was braking for all the corners , 3 x 25k , heaps 35k & 45k corners , brakes were glazed by th time I started down Billy's hill.

Did Not make th same mistake coming home .
