Our first trip in our new Whare-Iti (Kingdom Kensington) towed by our trusty F100 is all but over. We left Adelaide 3 weeks ago and have travelled over the beautiful Eyre Peninsula.
We had great weather and even missed the storm that hit Adelaide and the Peninsula last night, sheltering in Port Pirie.
We stayed in caravan Parks the whole time and Coffin Bay would have to be top off our list for the most outstanding park amenities and friendliness.
Apart from the beautiful scenery and the relaxed holiday timetable, meeting fellow campers was by far the best part of our holiday. Everyone we met had a story, offered tips and advise and were wonderful. Being relatively new to the game we welcomed all the help, and were grateful that they were all very quick to tell us that they all started as newbies. The camaraderie among you all is amazing and we are very happy to now be part of it.
It will be a while before we have holidays due but we are already planning our next trip.
Regards

Glad our fellow caravanners gave good advice and didn't let the side down!! It will be hard to see the van sitting there just waiting for the next trip. We know of a friend who goes and sleeps in his when he can't stand it any longer....then he feels as if he's had a mini holiday
Welcome to the wonderful world of caravanning. I am glad your first trip was fun and safe. You do meet some great people and even though we have travelled extensively we still learn something from fellow travellers.
