i am a first aid lecturer and sports trainer and have used one called mediprofile or similar in the past. I haven't used it for a while but from what i remember it was ok.
It might be easier to get yourself a current first aid book though for emergencies.
There are a few i would recommend and if you are interested just let me know.
Let me expand.
This is not a case of you should do a first aid course, done that. Nor is it a case of a good first aid kit, got mine.
I have the St Johns, Australian First Aid book, but as a quick reference as a mind jogger it is too cumbersome.
What I am after is a quick reference/mind jogger like some app on an iPad.
I have held a current senior first aid certificate for more than 30 years and feel everyone should have some level of FA training depending on their lifestyle,or recreational/sporting pursuits, my involvement in a youth organization requires me to have the qualification together with CPR update annually. in the middle of nowhere you cant rely on passing traffic for help .... Make sure you have the skills to provide the initial response in any emergency situation ..... My opinion only

but with out all the constant point/clicks to get the information.
The Saint Johns app is set for an iphone/andriod phone and thus has a fixed orientation. Somewhat restrictive on an ipad.
chaslib: I would agree with re FA trg. In fact considering where most GNs go it would help. Its just that I realised that there are times a memory jog helps irrespective how recent ones FA retraining was. Hence my original question.
I presume this is the Saint Johns app you talking about cultana .

Hi Ralph,
i had a chat to St Johns and I might be able to get their CD for my laptop. I will follow this up. If so I will let you know.
the CD should be a bit like the e-firstaid thing on their web.
i have an old copy of the CD but it wont work on my XP setup. Seems to be based on NT.
