It’s arrived! The magical moment when ‘Happy Wanderer’ has officially earned the unprecedented honour of being declared ‘The Master’ of the grey nomads forum. I would like to add my congratulations to Marj in reaching the amazing milestone of 10,000 posts.  As impressive as it is, the raw statistic of 10,000 really doesn’t really do justice to the many twists, turns, highlights, lowpoints , and the tears and laughter that Happy Wanderer  has shared with us all over the years with such generosity of spirit and such an obvious zest for life. Stories of the ongoing saga of Marj’s beloved ‘Myrtle’ and her experiences at Greens Lake and elsewhere has brought much pleasure to me and many, many others.  Thank you so much Marj for sharing your journey so far with with us. We look forward to the road ahead and the adventures to come!
As a way of celebrating this historic moment and, as a way of thanking her for her amazing contribution to the forum, we would like to ‘reward’ Happy Wanderer by sending her one of our new polo shirts embroidered with the grey nomads logo, and one of our new grey nomad baseball caps.  We hope you’ll wear with pride! Congrats Marj - lay back and savour the euphoria of the achievement. May there be many more posts to raise the bar even higher. One would hope some of this adulation will be reflected on Myrtle as well, given her trials that have driven much of this achievement. With this honour, how could she ever let you down again.

In fact, the title of The Master is fitting. I tender the following definition of Master as evidence -

mas·ter

One that has control over another or others.

One who defeats another; a victor.

One whose teachings or doctrines are accepted by followers.

An artist or performer of great and exemplary skill.

Highly skilled or proficient:
