We took delivery of our new van c/w Dometic RM4805 fridge. Works fine on 240V, will not run on gas for longer than 15 minutes. Have been through the instruction manual and trouble shot as per the contents. Have subsequently had the unit inspected by Dometic service agents who could find no problem with the gas ignition, jets or gas supply. The only issue they found was with the gas thermostat which needs replacing. Has anyone else had any of these problems (and with such a new fridge - less than 8 days in one month operation on gas).

If the Thermostat is faulty then that could well be the problem, is the fridge cold when it goes out or does it do it when it is hot as well...
If it only happens when the fridge is cold then it could well be the bypass jet in the back of the thermostat and it would need taking out and cleaning..
If it happens when the fridge is hot then I would be looking further than the thermostat..
Had a similar problem with same model, it would not work on gas for more than a couple of hours if in AES mode.
Local repair agent had main circuit board replaced under warranty and now appears to be working fine.
