Hino Rainbow 145 GVM

I am looking for the original GVM for a Hino 145A bus.

it would be the same as the Australian models

Mine has been derated and the original Compliance plate was removed.

Also if possible a copy of the page in the manual showing this tare would help so I can present to get the registration altered.

Regards

Brian

Dorian I have all those manuals and they do not have a GVM mentioned.
Patrolst I emailed that company and they were unable to help. They say that each vehicle has a different GVM. Not sure if I beleive them but then I have to take their word so I need to fiond someone with a compliance plate or similar so I can get a photo.
Thanks again fellas.
Regards
Brian

FWIW, here is a listing for a 1989 RB145:

www.carjam.co.nz/car/

Gross Vehicle Mass: 6,848kg
Tare Weight: 5,080kg

Wouldn't the relationship between GVM and Tare go like this?

GVM = Tare_Weight + (number_of_passengers_plus_driver x average_weight_per_person)

(6848 - 5080) kg / 20 seats = about 90kg per person

Our local garbage tip has a weighbridge. That should give you a figure for Tare plus driver. Weigh the bus with a near empty tank, and leave the spare tyre at home (the bus's, not yours).

Thank you that should be OK

I will print it out and take it with me and see what they say.

Bit surprised it can go that heavy but more the better as long as I don't use it all LOL.

The extra towing capacity will help also as I am looking at getting a different trailer and it gives me more latitude.

Have been busy Graham doing some carpentry and getting ready to instal a reverse cycle aircon as the other one decided it had had enough.

Will hopefully find out this week and then off over the horizon and away from family.

Its OK Baz I have the info just have to get myself ready and get some time as I am doing some renos and repairs and they will come first and then the rego change over if I get the time as I have to do an upgrade of the license first and that wont be easy as there are no driver trainers are in the area, you have to wait till they come and they are booked up months ahead and if I cant get the license then no point in updating the GVM but I am working on it.
