List of hot showers - NT, NSW/ACT and WA

Found this site that lists hot showers available on the road, for 3 states only, but may be of help.  Second link is also of interest.

That is Motherhens Website

I have found it to be extremely helpful whenever I am looking for some up to date info.

She obviously puts a lot of work into keeping it current.

highly recommended.

thanks for posting Hako

Thanks Liddle, the link email address would not work for me but I typed it into my email direct and it went ok.

Edit:  my email to Motherhen has just come back rejected, so she wouldn't have got it.

There are also free flush male and female toilets there in a brick building, the shower is in a locked room in the same building at one end, key from roadhouse on payment of the donation, it may be less than $5, can't recall, but I paid $5 anyway.

Munglinup is about the half way mark between Esperance and Ravensthorpe and the free camp is in a area between the roadhouse and the highway.   The roadhouse has a good range of eats including hot take aways and is a mini mart.  I think there may be a free camp at Munglinup beach also and/or a caravan park, but you would need to check that out in Camps 7, Yeoeleven stayed there I think.

Is this the same Motherhen from CF?   I tried the contact numbers but I have a glitch with google chrome.

Is it possible for you to contact MH and ask her to include Munglinup in WA (between Ravensthorpe and Esperance) Munglinup is listed in Camps as a free camp, they have showers there for $5, pay at the roadhouse opposite, money goes to the local fire brigade.

Very useful list and Vic, thanks for the heads up about Ravensthorp. I may be heading down that way after New Year.

Thank you for the feedback Hako, KFT and Duh; I have joined just to reply.  Thanks for the camping and showers information Duh; I cannot understand why my email address does not work for you; the address Liddle gave is certainly active and well used.  I have an alternative address of motherhen AT westnet . com . au (you know the drill for making at email address out of that ).

Cheers

Motherhen

It is still a work in progress Vic, as my time has been unduly strained I have progressed only slowly.

Still a big help and appreciated.   Saw some nice sheep at the Royal Show on TV.   I thought the sheep with curly horns were called Merino's but the ones on TV were called something else ? confuse

They may have been Wiltshire Horn Vic, and ancient English meat breed which sheds its wool instead of needing to be shorn.  Do we get into trouble for off topic here confuse?

MH this place always goes off topic and it is usually a lot of fun

those "other" forums can get a bit serious at times

very friendly here and great people who love to meet and greet for an even better time.

welcome from me too.

No, but sorry that is my fault, usually the off topic items go in "I digress" section, that name of the sheep may be the ones, they said the curly horns were bred into the breed to prevent them from pushing through the hedges that surround some farms in the UK countryside instead of fences.

Back to the topic, thanks again for your list. smile
