Hi Trouto

Been there done that. depending on which vehicle I'm towing with, Fairlane or Nevara with no problems. But as AussieT said if in doubt check with one of your towing centres, or drop the company and email.

Hi Trouto I don't know the answer myself but if you go into one of the 4x4 accessories centers like ARB they will give you the correct answer, good luck

Had to do the same to tow my van, till i raise the suspension on it. There's no problem with doing it, the dynamics are the same whichever way up the tongue sits, providing that the tow hitch still has clearance with the vertical section of the tongue.

Sounds like you don't have a copy of the installation instructions. You can download them from here.

On the first page, parra 4 it tells you "for maximum height adjustment shank may be positioned in either direction depending on the ball height required," This is just as well as the shank on my D40 has been hanging up for the last 6 years.
