They come and go, some companies get a rebirth under another name while still owing money to previous creditors and buyers. Why is it when businesses get into trouble they are given another business ABN and company name to restart the same business plan

They have been taken over by Kingdom Caravans - apparently, the name, machinery and manufacturing equipment were part of the buyout, and that Kingdom intends to continue making a number of the existing Aussie Wide models - just which ones remains to be seen, and whether they are sold with Kingdom names or retain Aussie Wide branding has not been determined.

Brief story on page 16 Caravan World Oct

Maybe best to go to Caravaning news regarding the future of what is happening with Ausie Wide Caravans.

Part of the press release regarding it reads as follows....

The well respected Victorian company collapsed owing $500.000,and has gone into voluntary administration with a creditors

meeting fixed for September 19th.

The future of the company will be determined at a second meeting of creditors in about 3 weeks.

This press release mentions nothing re another company interested in buying it.

CW must have had some speculative info and decided to publish it before confirmation and had to commit to a printing date to get the mag out on time. Just goes to show that you can't always trust what you see in print, unless it happens after the fact !
