The trip thus far

I was looking through my photos to share some with you, but gee it's hard to pick! We went up the Stuart Hwy to Three Ways then down the Barkley  Hwy and are now in Morven Qld. We have mixed up the free camping with a few parks and are really loving it. Stuart is on 3 months longs service leave, heavens know how he'll go back to it??

I have used several of the tips I picked up on here and just a little example, but a beautie was using  those small microfibre towels for swimming (the cheap pets ones), so easy to pack and dry! Thanks again. We have no need at the moment of course for the diesel heater but as I read back over my diary I read over again"I love my diesel heater" ! Guess as we head back further south it may fire up again. Oh and other recommendation I got from here was the Outback dinner cruise from Longreach. That was great value, fantastic sunset and a flash dinner back on the bank. Another thank you for that idea.

Our pace has slowed down, staying a few days in locations, enabling us to enjoy the surrounds and the peace. We both love chatting with people we meet and can honestly say we haven't found anyone not willing for a chat or to provide help in need. I can't get over how big our country is. It's very dry up this way, the farmers must be a resilient bunch to do it year after image.jpgyear.  Sorry about the big picture, will try to post the others after. I might not have enough service.

Hope you enjoy the photos. Cheers Dianne and Stuart

The Goanna doesn't look too skinny.

Cheers,

That cow does look skinny but they weren't too bad. They had tags in each ear and the publican said the cows were rotated! We were at The Long Waterhole in Winton!
