Worked out in Leinster for over two years and enjoyed every minute of our time there.

Best value for money in the WEST we all used to say.(even though if you work there and live in the park you do not have to pay for accommodation.

The little village has all your needs catered for s/market /post office/ gift shop/ servo/ can put in script at newsagent and your medication arrives by plane the next morning. Also a hair dresser/bottle shop and beside the mess there is a great tavern that makes the best pizza in Oz . and also Drs and down beside the Drs there is a tank you can get water from if need be for no change. Also the cloths dryers and washing machine use is in your $15 fee. It used to be a 10 day limit on staying there,do not know if that still stands. Swimming pool is the cleanest in the state. There used to be no time limit here but because some took advantage of the generosity of BHP Billiton, they have had to put the limit and increase the price of eating from the mess from $8 all you can eat kind of thing to $15...when we were there some people woulde go to the mess and as they were leaving fill up a dozen containers to take back to their van to keep them in food for the next week.

Some people do not realize but this little village is a closed town due to BHP Billiton owning and creating the town...An interesting place to have a look at is the native garden us miners created near the pool area in respect to the men who have lost their life in mining accidents around that area.

Another place to go and have a look is an almost ghost town called Agnew, the old pub out there was a ripper but I have heard that has now closed.

Mark you and wife would pick work up there very easy ,if interested just give me a pm and I will put you in touch with the man. As a matter of fact he rang me the other night to see if I want some consulting work back over there.

I am flying to Roxby Downs Friday to do some work a long way for three days work but enjoy my work so no big deal really, only thing wife has to keep the cogs in place here and my workers hate when I go away working they recon she works them to the ground. hu hu .

Regards Herbie.

We have enjoyed staying at Leinster and unfortunately have also seen...
[some people would go to the mess and as they were leaving fill up a dozen containers to take back to their van to keep them in food for the next week.]

Passed thru in June and purchased Diesel at the Servo, sad to see it closed with only ATM type pumps available.

When we were there living/ working they had just done the servo up.

But it is a closed town built and maintained for the workers, not really a town that is run for the sole purpose of travellers. Once if you did not work there you were not allowed in unless approved to visit.

There is another garage down a side street.

It is the only town in Oz that can boast of zero unemployment, due to the fact no one is allowed to live there unless they are working
