We are in the market for a new van, we rented our house out & have lived in our 04 Roadstar Limited Edition for the last 4 years & love the life on the road, our Rodie has been a terrific van but we need to go for a full ensuite model 21',now.
Can anyone comment on the Idlylic vans, they are sold in Learjet drive Caboolture & Built by Blue Sky Melbourne I think, the deal that was offered to us was a bit too good to be true, so any feed back would be appreciated thank you.
We have also been looking at Jayco's too, we had a Starcraft pop top for 14 years & the new Starcraft is a contender because the 2013 Sterling has a plastic door that dosen,t impress us, the first one we saw had come open on the truck & smashed to bits, also some of the other changes to the 13 range are not to our liking. if we could find a 2012 model we would realy cosider it.
Hey there Jay, we purchased a 2013 Blue Sky Fairhaven from Bellarine Caravans in Geelong in January this year and took delivery of it in May. We had been looking for 5 years prior at so many different makes and models our heads where spinning. We got a quote on a Jayco Sterling 21" with slide out and then came across the Blue Sky. We where immediately impressed with the build quality and finish in the Bluesky, and with it's list of standard features, compared to the Jayco having them as options the $$ difference was outstanding....around 24K difference. We thought there must be something amiss so we did our homework, got on the internet and done searches for any negative or possible scam related posts regarding the vans ie:- Buyer beware!!.....we could find nothing but praise for the Vans. next thing that sold us is they are members of the RVMAA that means they meet a build quality and standard that is expected to badged by RVMAA, surprisingly Jayco the biggest van builder in Australia is not part of this build quality group, we also done the same type of search on the Jayco Sterling with many unhappy customers venting on forums across the net. Bluesky are also part of the CIA....no not them the caravan industry of Australia, again further proof that they are the real deal. You can visit the factory and see your vans progress in the build stages at anytime, so there is nothing you cant be part off. We did a 5000k shakedown of our van and could not be happier, the interest from fellow wanderers and park managers was amazing. At the end of the day it,s your money and your choice, how and where you plan to go will ultimately determine what you purchase, but for us at least the Bluesky wins hands down......check out the link here and have a look at the builders web page, you can go to them direct and do away with the middleman saving even more $$.....hope that helps you out alittle bit........goodluck
Cheers

Check out the recall histories on caravans, campervans and camper trailers .... that may provide you with an idea regarding brands to look closely at before making any big decisions .... www.recalls.gov.au. You may also want to weigh up brands with recalls against percentage of the market to put it in perspective .... we check this before any major purchase we make. Very interesting site. Think this has been a forum topic in the past?
good luck

Thank you so much for your reply, if we could have a look at the building of our Blue sky van I would be so much happer, as I do like their vans, although we are a bit over Aluminum clad vans after we & 29 others in our Caravan club had hail damage at our Chrismas rally in 2011 & after having it reclad, our beloved 04 Roadstar Limited Edition isnt the same, with roof leaks plus aircon wired up incorectly & loose cladding causing us to be going back & forward to the reparier haveing faults fixed, its lucky that pentioners insurance give a lifetime waranty on repaire work, they have been so good to deal with.
Next time I would take the money if it happened again & the insurance company would let me & put up with the marks rather than run the risk of roof leaks & other faults ect again.
Once again thank you & God Bless you for your most helpfull comments.
We purchased a Blue Sky at the brisbane caravan show .So far we are extremely happy but have only done app 3000 klm.We found the pricing exceptional value.we purchased ours from sunrise caravans in brisbane.
hope this helps
