Penrith caravan show

I went today as well. I won't bother again either, no seating, everything very expensive and very little there apart from lots of caravans.

I left at 1.30pm and had about 40 mins before that outside of the venue getting something decent to eat that wasn't overpriced. I really think there was much less there of interest this year.

Rose Hill is value for money, and some great specials, but this was not. The big fish tank wasn't there and you needed a 4 wheel drive to negotiate the carpark out the back.

Went to the show this morning arriving around 9.30 and joined the que to pay the entry fee for the first time since the show started, the line to pay was about 250 meters long because they only had 3 pay windows which was totally inadequate.furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfurious it took around half an hour to reach the pay booth and a lot of people were very unhappy

Entry fees Adult $10.00 concession $6.00

not much if any change from previous years and nothing like the Rose hill event so don't think I will be going again and from comments made by people we sat with and near there will be a lot of others who will not be going again

We went today too and were quite disappointed. There seemed to be a lot more vans, campers etc than previous times but not a lot of merchandise stands (which interests us). There were several in the main pavilion and the rest all scattered over the place.

We were directed to the back of the show as we have a disability sticker and there was a pay booth there. No waiting.

What we were upset about was the lack of seating. The only seats available were in the eating section and then very little. We ended up sitting on flower pots , just gave up and went home as the heat didnt help either.

Don't think we will return either.

I have been to the Penrith C/van Show for the past several years and even though it doesn't compare with the show at Rosehill, it has always been quite good.
Well I'm glad that I can't make it this year now hearing about the entrance fee. I think next year will be a huge disappointment for the organisers.  nono
It has always been bad for the lack of seating. One year I went and sat for a while at the big fish tank where the bloke was flogging his fishing lures.
Last year I bought one of those folding stools, and walked around with that under my arm.  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

We were also at the show today and totally agree about the lack of seating and the heat.  Ended up at the Panthers Club for lunch which worked out better value than eating the rubbish at the show and it was lovely and cool.

Arrived early on Friday morning hoping to beat the rush.....poor fool me, the queue was acres long at 10am so drove out & went to do other things..........not happy with the organisers charging this year, but at $6 bucks each, ok, but I won`t queue.....have a mate who sells vans at all the major shows on the East Coast, so will be interesting to see how he went.

I like the Rose hill show, but they all lack in seating, and I too take a little seat with me.
