I have somehow lost my link to the internet.  I  have been cleaning up some old programs, and recently did delete Google Chrome, which started up whenever I checked on a hyperlink, but I don't like GC, preferring internet explorer.  I can gain access via the icon on my desk top, however, when clicking on a hyperlink embedded in an email, i.e. Pick this place, I get the attached screen:

Any suggestions.

Have you tried setting IE as your default browser?
Click on start, in pop up window click on program access just below control panel, click on custom and then set IE as your default web browser, then click OK.
