We have been doing a lot of cold weather camping in a jayco poptop. The vynil skirt is not very insulating but i can live with that. What i dont like is the lack of light from having all the upper vents closed.
I asked hubby to replace the screen panels with clear vinyl from Bunnings.. Communication got a bit garbled but he did put same size peices over the whole thing and attached with velcro dots.
This has worked beautifully. They roll up easily when the roof comes down. They are easily removed for summer camping. They retain as much heat as the fitted skirt. Best of all, cost under $30 so if it didnt work, no great loss.
Cant really give photos as they are just about invisible in use but hope the attached gives some help.

I understand the need of this thing. Especially at night if you let those vents closed. It doesn't cost much too, useful and affordable!
