The end of the snail trail .

All good things have to come to an end,so the saying goes, but always another destination in the planning (Tasmania next long trip )
We spent the last two weeks camping and fishing around  Chinchilla/Miles/ Tara/ Condamine and Glenmorgan.
Even if you are not into fishing all the camps are free and camp at Glenmorgan has power tap water  and hot showers a pub(The bottle Tree Hotel ) good cheap meals, and a shop and fuel and a beaut privately owned motor museum well worth a look. The caming spots we camped at were at Chinchilla Wier on Condamine River.
Grays Reserve Condamine River.
Archers Crossing.
Dogwood Creek Camp.
Miles Gill Wier.
Calliguel Lagoon.
Tara Lagoon.
Glenmorgan Pialway reserve.
The fishing gods were kind to us ,catching some nice size Cod and Golden Perch, as the water was a little discoloured so decided on using the trusty old spinner bait (yellow colour )Also dropped a a shrimp trap in to use for bait and managed to do ok using fresh bait.
Will we return to this beautiful under developed tourist mecca YOU BET!!!
Now back to work come Monday but at least we have some great memories spent with good friends good food a lot of laughs and even a few beers too many.

I will post some other places we visited if you like.

I just did not want to bore people to death in what we did.

I find that other peoples views of a place far out way the glossy magazine or tourist hyp regarding how good/ bad an area is.

Regards Herbie
