Voted today

Not going to be in the home state by the 7th, so voted today at a pre-poll centre at Innisfail. Nice and easy - no crowds, no wait. If you are on the road, suggest you get in before the rush. Remember - if you are travelling interstate, you cannot vote just anywhere on election day - you have to go to s voting centre that is designated to do interstate votes.

On that subject we will be up in Victoria,  where do you find out where to do an early vote?

We voted somewhere totally different this year. The Australian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Viet Nam. Off to Cambodia on Monday. No caravan could exist in this crazy traffic!!

Cheers

Hurls

In Karratha (WA) heading north. Saw a sign on the main road today pointing to a voting centre, so dropped in. Very professional set-up and very easy. Most impressed. (Mind you, they don't ask for ID, which I thought was odd). Democratic duty done, I can move on happily.

Cheers, Tony

We voted in Pt Augusta last week. Wonderful experience and assistance made it quick and easy. As they say vote early and vote often. Just kidding.

We voted in Cannington (WA) on opening day (20/8/13)  We arrived at 10.00 am to find that they did not have the paperwork from Qld yet.  After driving there (50K), drove into Fremantle, back later that afternoon then were able to vote.

Did mine in Port Pirie yesterday.
I was also surprised when they did not want any ID.
I wish I had a list of peoples names and addresses I could vote for you all HEHE and save you the problem.
Regards
Brian
