Back in Biggy.

Arrived back in Biggy this morning. Very hot here.I have hell of a mess to clean up to make it liveable. Don't know where to start.   Maybe best to do my  washing, restock the van and head off again.

Hi Marj Where is Biggy, and if you are greeted by Heat and mess it probably is best to restock and keep going there is still a lot to see and enjoy.

Good to see you got home safe Marj. Your return to a mess reminds me of my return home last year from a few months out in the playground to a jungle of weeds that my neighbour was sort of looking after.

Hi Pauline. Clean up this house first. Clean out and repack the van. Have a possibly of getting her repainted. My upstairs room mate is a panel beater spraypainter and has offered to do it for me at a good price.
Piles of washing to do and not all mine. A grandaughter who likes to leave a dirty mess behind.
I have no intention of breaking my back over other peoples mess though. Did that when I first arrived, now back to square one.
Jessie had settled in well, gets on good with dogs and cat.

Thank you Grandpabob and Rosie. I learnt my lesson last time. Nearly did myself some damage. After reading Dawas experience I would rather hop in the van and go for a drive than slave over a hot garden or vacuum cleaner lol

How long will it be before you are on the road full-time HW? Concentrate on your own needs, and when you feel like its all too much, just take Jessie out for a walk.

You could always bundle up those clothes and give them back to their owner unwashed, might be a good lesson!

I think by Xmas I will be out of here. But that will be to go back down south for the summer and to NZ for a wedding in March. When I get back beginning of April all should be clear to go.
Have to work out what to do with my furniture and personal stuff that I can't carry in the van. Needs to be sorted before Xmas.

Regarding the granddaughter. There wasn't one of my towels left in the bathroom. Found them all dirty in her wardrobe.
Found all my beading craftwork also in her room just thrown in a box of junk. She had gone into my private stuff and taken it.

Had a horrible feeling that might happen Marj.  Look after yourself and Jessie first, and get a seperate [or another] lock for your room.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Oh dear will Hervey Bay be able to cope.

A big disappointment Marge that big playground that Dougwe talks about sure sounds good.

For some reason some of the younger generation aren't very thoughtful..it's got to be.all about them.

Hope you can work out something for your furniture and stuff. Hard to part with everything.

Cheers
Robyn

Glad to see that you made it home safe and sound Marj. It is a shame about the mess that your home has been left in, not good and when by family even worse. Hopefully everything will fall into place quickly for you and you will be out on the road again exploring and having a ball.

Not sure Robyn if Hervey Bay will cope. They are the new Brady Brunch. Two combined families with 3 boys and 3 girls. Will be interesting.
Thanks Sharon Have washed all the floors with disinfectant. Not going to stress too much.

Spending the rest of the day peeling all the stickers off Myrtle ready for her repaint. Really excited about that She will look so different.
Done a deal with Charlie. He's taking all the furniture I can't take with me as payment for painting Myrtle.
What a deal.
Solved a lot of worry.

Hello Marj, not a good return to a mess, but keep on keeping on,, at the end of the day furniture  and all the other stuff we accumulate over time is just possessions we really can live with out.

As long as you have your health and Jessie you will be fine.

And think on the brighter side of things while your surrounded with other peoples mess,  Your about to embark on what you love to do and that is to hit the road running in your new painted home on wheels.

(just leave the mess for them to sort out don't wear your self out trying to sort it out )

Regards Herbie.

Leaves a bad taste when people who are closest to you have no respect. My family are in my house still after the floods, and I am afraid their idea of cleaning is not quite the same as mine. However they have done the right thing and barricaded entry to my room so that my 4yo granddaughter can't get in there and no-one has touched my personal stuff. So I figure that cleaning up some cobwebs won't be onerous, and my son has done quite a few jobs on the house for me. All in all I'm lucky. I considered renting my place out when I go away next year, but I have seen too many horror tenants so I'll just leave it empty. I've realised now that I should have just built myself a shed with a bathroom where I can park when I'm home instead of the house, but hindsight is perfect visionaww.

I don't think I could cope with no home base, and after twice losing everything in fires, I don't want to get rid of what stuff I have, altho I can understand the attraction of getting rid of everything and going on the road full time. Just not for me at this time.

Hope you can settle everything in the way you want and get back to enjoying whatever you feel like doing asap.

Cheers

Glad to see you got home safe and sound Marj - and Myrtle getting a repaint!!! Yahoo - she will be shining girl then!

I suppose you half expected the place to be left in a mess - but don't bust a boiler cleaning it too much, just do what you have to do for yourself - and as for her clothes - bundle them all up and get them back to her, unwashed and crumpled, of course!!!
Hope it works out for the "brady bunch" - it is your time now, get on with your life - roll on next year!!!! See you at Greens!

Halfway through peeling the Stickers off. Getting too hot out there , taken a break. Some are really easy and others don't want to move. Just taking my time and chillaxing.
Jessie is so good, wanders around without a lead on now and is always within my view and comes straight back when called.
Gets on really well with Cody the resident dog but doesn't think much of the cat Ninja.

Marj - sometimes a hairdryer makes removing stickers a bit easier.

Charlie suggested a hairdryer Jules but I don't have one. Have got all the easy ones off including my beautiful holographic stripes.
He has given me some blades for the harder ones. Any impossible ones he said he will work on.
I'm really excited to be getting this done. Myrtle won't look old and dirty anymore.
