Hi and welcome to the site Lilyforrest - which way are you headed when you take off? South? West? North? Get yourself a Grey Nomads window sticker from the Webmistress - makes it easy for people to recognise other GN's from the site.

As for hints or tips - keep reading the site - I reckon just about any question you could have will be answered, or has been asked and answered on here!!!!
Enjoy your van and your travelling.

Welcome to the forum Lilyforrest and as Jules47 says, there is so much knowledge on here that you only have to ask the question.  We are fairly new to the forum but have learnt so much just by reading the various posts. One tip....if you have a particularly subject that want to ask a question on, try the "search" function on the top in the blue bar and you should get some responses to questions that have been asked before.  Anyway.....see you out in the playground (I think I have stolen someone's line)!!

Welcome to the site ...

As a first step in your search for information, you could do worse than getting a $30 copy of "The Grey Nomads Guidebook" advertised at the bottom of this page.  I think that E copies are available too.

Don't be tardy in asking questions on the site.

Enjoy ...  G
