Oh, I'm rich Gerty!
For the first time in my life I have all I want and need.
Since retiring, life is simple, easy and free.

I just want to travel more, that's all.........................oh and shop till I drop occasionally.

At the moment I am one of the "Working Poor" but when I retire soon I will be "Rich" (not with money)  as I will be free to travel and enjoy our wonderful country because of that I will feel rich

Hmmm. It worked on my computer, but then I cant watch videos and everybody else can.

It was a saying..

"The richest man is not he who has the most,

but he who needs the least."

Amen. Never been so rich as we are now that we are retired. Keep a simple life and the rest takes care of itself.

This is a bit of a worry...the man and I were having just this discussion yesterday!   We think we are very rich, we have just about everything we need and live a really good quality life, although if the Good Fairy pulled up at the door with the new caravan behind her magic coach it would be positively wonderful!  Just have patience he says, it will be here soon.

Can't help but say it, life is good and just love retirement,   cheers capricorn

Were you able to see the original post Capricorn?

I reckon we are the richest people alive, but its funny how we keep getting new stuff, finding new places we want to see, never satisfied!

Rich doesn't necessarily mean lots of money .

Therefore , I reckon quite a lot of us here on GNs are rich .

We are all lifestyle rich and asset poor. Money dont buy happyiness. The more money you have the more you stress about making more or loosing it.

Retirement does tend to make one time rich the rest of your wealth depends very much on your life philosophy, I believe I am fabulously wealthy I have a terrific partner an awesome family and I am able to explore the most beautiful country in the world so I don't need any more, and just to top it off I am a member of the best forum on the net.

For some reason it is all showing now.

I don't think I'm rich or poor, just comfortable. I have never asked for a lot of money, just to be happy and healthy. I'm nearly there.

I wouldn't trade places with the richest (in financial terms) woman in Australia.  My family loves me, I love them and we all have enough money for the necessities and  a few luxuries as well!

Given that the richest woman in Australia is Gina Reinhart, I agree with you 100% !!!

Just out of court fighting with her children, all except one now don't speak to her. Always worried about stock markets, government policies and anything else that impacts on her stash of wealth.

Lonely woman.

At the end of our journey we all kind of end up at the same place.

So if your rich or poor, it sure makes for a great coming together in the end.

I wasn't going to name names, but that's who I was implyingwink. I can't scrape up much sympathy for someone who would alienate family over something so unimportant as money.
