Landcruiser over heating problem

Heres a tip for all you people with Landcruisers, My 100 series was over heating when I was towing, unfortunately before I had found the core reason for the problem I also blew a head gasket. Apparently Toyota from factorey under fill the viscous clutch on the fan so it dosnt engage as soon, this helps with noise and fuel economy when new, but becomes a problem when you start putting loads on the vehicle, and when they start to get some age on them. As soon as i asked for the oil to fut in mine at the Toyota dealer I was asked if I had an 80 or 100 series and it was recomended that I put 2 vials into it to fix the problem. I found a page online that I cant find again anyway the person there had spent a heap of time on these and he had put 1 1/2 vials in his to fix his problem. Anyway the point being before someone trys selling you new radiators or what ever try a $26 dollar fix, takes about an hour to do and should fix your problem.

I just wish I knew this before it caused a head gasket to blow.

Cheers Andrew
