Our new truck finally finished apart from a couple of tool boxes to go on the back. Has bullbar, tow hitch to tow fifth wheeler (or gooseneck), normal tow bar, carries boat on specially engineered polished rack, folding boat trailer, two all terrain bikes and what ever else we ...throw on. Air bag suspension front seats which are also electric heated. Perfect for when you stuff your back. Extra water tank fitted under neath so we can carry nearly 300 lt of fresh water for camping. Will be towing the fifth wheeler. The tray is 3m long but looks shorter as we have our rear wheels 1m further back on the extended wheel base. Keeps more room in front and makes the fifth wheeler sit over the rear axle. Height of it now is 3M with boat up.
Hopefully pics work, have never put pics up here before.
Actually some cool lights on the boat might be just the ticket, but as we dont travel much at night i dont think anyone would see them. Ha ha. Its hard being homeless.
Well done, Looks like we have started a trend & look forward to a catchup some time to compare notes. The extended wheel base gives a different appearance, but then you can't have a long tray overhang with a 5th wheeler
As for the additional lights, Im thinking of connecting up the boat navigation lights to the truck, red one side & green the other & on the wrong sides due to being upside down.
We will call it " organised confussion"
Cheers;
JC.

Ha ha organised confusion. I love it.
Yeh we might start something. Ivecos all the way. Your right the extended wheel base makes it look diff. It looks much shorter in the tray than normal, but its only 30cm shorter than yours. The normal trays on the extended were way too long to hook a 5ver too, so we made it to our own measurements and hoped we had it right. Talk about walking a fine line. We have 3 inches to spare between the back of the boat, and the clear space needed to turn the rig. So bikes are even with boat ect. Have measured it so many times to make sure we got it right in nearly have me nightmares.
Its all fun though. We are very proud of our little rig now.
I call it burning the midnight oil, much of the desighn is thought out of a night when we should be asleep. LOL I must have been born with a tape measure in the hand

Its been really easy here. We are at the Maryborough caravan park on a huge site. Its near where the permanents are who are doing lots of renos, so nobody has been complaining about our renos and building either. Ha ha. Hubby carries a heap of tools with him so has been doing his bits and peices, but the major body work has been done by the pros.
Next is a reversing cam which with mount under the boat rack so i can see to hook up. The back seats in these things are too high to see the 5ver hitch. With the tray back sides it also a bit hard to see a little buz car pulled up your butt in a park, so if we want to reverse back its hard to see where their bonnet is. It will make it easier.
WOW, Freehazzas, this is exactly the truck my wife and I are looking at. I see your original post was a year ago so you would be the person to ask.
Our plan is to do the same as you and stick a large 5th wheeler on the back, we currently have a 24' Roadstar van towed by a 100 series Landcruiser and I am over the slow trips up the hills; how do you find the Iveco? Is she underpowered for the size of your 5th wheeler? Is yours speed limited? I could keep asking questions all day.
