I currently have two Deep Cycle Calcium MF batteries in the van ... they've performed well and had no problems ... they are rated 100 AH.
I want to add 2 more and run them specifically for my wife's CPap machine... there is NO 12volt allowance on her machine, so have been running it on a 600 watt inverter when we free camp ... this has resulted in some low battery readings after 8 hrs use.. down as low as 11.6 v....
Questions are :
(1) Do the added batteries have to be MF Calcium if they are separate from the other two ?
(2) Any suggestions as to a different type of battery which may be better for the purpose ?
(3) Will they need a separate charging unit , or can they just be " run in series " with the other two , then disconnected when charged ?
ANY help would be appreciated , because, as an electrician, I'm a great painter.

THANX ALL....
If they are going to br connected to the other batteries for the purpose of charging then they need to be the same.
There are different charging rates between calcium, gel & lead acid, not wise to mix.

I'm contemplating having a separate battery for my cpap so the fridge, lights etc don't eat into the power. I'll use a solar panel to charge it by day.
