In Townsville - Kings Road, Town and Country Caravan Park (part of the showgrounds) not flash, but at $33/pn power and water, probably one of the cheapest around the town, and very well situated.

Amenities are spotless, walking distance to Castletown Shopping Centre in Wool**** Street, or the City Centre, up Ingham Road.  Sunday nights they put on a dinner for all in the park - there is a tip jar, but it is free.  We had roast one week, and bbq the next - lovely, entertainment as well.  Manager, Darren, is a nice young bloke as well.
