Aussie Winnebago has win.

Winnebago Australia have won back the right to continue to use the Winnebago name.
Wonder how much all the legal fees were? Probably enough to keep a small country afloat.
Ozjohn.

Extract form 'Caravan World' Magazine.
In July last year, the Federal Court of Australia decided in favour of the US company. Winnebago Australia was ordered to stop using the name.

Winnebago Australia appealed the decision, which was heard by the Full Federal Court of Australia in March, and the appeal judges unanimously agreed that Winnebago Australia could continue to use the Winnebago name on its products and marketing activity.

The courts decision is very pleasing and vindicates our position in this matter, Ben Binns, director and CEO of Winnebago Australia, said. The company has been in our family for 48 years and, being Australian owned, our goal is to support manufacturing in Australia and, of course, our very loyal Australian workforce and customer base.

Earlier this year, with the appeal ongoing, the company launched another brand, Avida. We wanted our own Australian identity and I believe that we have been very successful in launching the Avida brand in Australia and New Zealand, Binns said. Avida is the brand which we intend to go forward with into the future.
