Another trick is to save your old engine or transmission oil in a old oil container then decant some to a squirt bottle or old tomato sauce squeeze bottle. Set your firewood, squirt liberally with oil and light. This is much safer than kero or petrol which amazingly some people still use for starting fires. It might smell a bit of a dirty engine till the wood catches but once burning well it is un-noticeable.
My Ex Brother-in-law, an Ex Firey, told me once that that is how some car fires were started....(Insurance jobs or just idiots, stealing and burning) They would light the packet and put it on the back seat and the chips being very oily and would burn nicely and get into the seat .....you have a Barby on wheels.
So I wonder what corn chips and cheezles do to your gut? When I first read Kantiki's post on corn chip, I thought it was mis spelt and should have been corn cob. :
