It would be a help if you advised which fridge you have. Electrolux tells us very little, if we knew what exact model you have we may be able to find a workshop manual for it.

Is the door jaming of binding? Are the springs weak?

Here is some info on the later models which are branded Dometic. I don't know if they areapplicable.

Thanks for the great links Peter D, I had a door seal twisted on a new Waeco RV fridge which was set into furniture.

I contacted Dometic/Waeco in a new showroom/warehouse complex in Wangara, WA, who told me to bring my then Hi Ace Van in.

They removed the fridge and then the seal and removed and straightened the seal for me, the bloke that did it said it is a good idea to give the seals on any fridge door a spray with silicone, wiping off the excess, to prevent it rolling, sticking or twisting.

He did mine there and then and I never ever had any further problem with it.   I was not charged for the work.

Thanks Dometic Waeco.   Here is a link for all the main places for them around Oz, including the one at Wangara I went to.  Beaut showrooms there too and you can buy direct rather than from an agent....

If you don't get a satisfactory answer for your problem A childproof lock may help. You have one piece on the side and one on the door attached with sticky tape and it would do the job to hold the door closed.
