UPDATE JULY 22, 2013

Mmmmmmm, here I am again and still in Townsville. Another week done and dusted.  I still haven't made that big decision when to leave just yet but I think it is getting close and maybe as close as next week even.

You might remember last update I hadn't been 100%, well I am still not running at full  speed just yet but much better so took myself to the movies early in the week and saw  'The Heat', yep that one with the beautiful and talented Sandra Bullock. Good too and a good laugh to go with it. Melissa McCarthy was great as well, not a bad team. Now I warn you though, if swearing is not your thing then keep well clear as there is heaps and I tell you that for free.

Now talk about a small world, mmmm, I wasn't talking about a small world was
I ? Oh well. I was walking through one of the shopping centre's later in the week and got a tap on the shoulder, I turned around and there was someone I knew from my home town in South West Gippsland, Victoria so we ended up chatting for a couple of hours. They wondered why they hadn't seen me around for a while so thought I had moved up here but I explained that I am travelling around a bit. Looks like we might even meet up again around the Sunshine Coast as they left over the weekend and will be at the SC for a few weeks.

The weekend arrived and so did Jules 47, Billeeeeee, Solo Steve and Yeoeleven, John, so spent some time with all mentioned on Saturday but will catch up with them all again over the next few days. I had spoken to John earlier in the day and he was in need of a soldering iron so I went armed with my butane solder gun to assist with the problem in front of us. Successfully between us we solved the problem, so he can now sit back and enjoy his surrounds until he moves on to his next location, knowing John he will be in no hurry. It sure was good catching up with all of them again and I look forward to the next few days. John is going to share his great knowledge with me for my up coming coastal journey south.

I have included a few pics from down around  'Anzac Memorial Park' this week, here in down town Townsville. Anzac Memorial Park is at the southern end of the beautiful 'Strand' and is a real credit to the local Council. I reckon the full stretch along that area of Townsville is just magnificent so if you ever get up here to the tropics make this a must on your to do list. Enough of the plug, I'm not getting paid for this.

The weather gods gave us a mixed bag of goodies with, yep, wait for it, some rain, well drizzle really and not much of it early in the week but warm all the time and windy for a few days. I feel as though the humidity has picked up a tad so maybe it's telling me it's time to move on,  how do I know this I hear you say, well I feel it in my bones.  I know when I do leave I will be heading back through and too colder weather but I have other things to do, other things to see and other places to  be.  Still, no complaints from this Mexican.

See ya when I see ya,

Nice pic's Doug, I thought the movie "Heat" was good entertainment too, she was a hard case that partner of Sandra Bullock, she is also the female role in "Mel & Molly" sitcom (not sure if that name is right).

Dam cold in Perth at the moment, but mostly nice sunny days.....

From one poppy to another, thankyou. I'm not even sure myself really, I just do it through Windows, I think photo manager. I do it on my laptop then email to myself, open up on my iPad then send it all the way I do.

The only thing I do to any of my photos is add the text, no other corrections are done. What you see is what the camera does after I have told it what to do.  I only use my digital camera to get instant results, if I want really good quality I use my film camera but that is not much these days.

Thanks Vic, Mike and Molley is the name of the TV show. Her name is Melissa McCarthy, a very good talent indeed. I actually saw an interview with her the other day and she was all done up, a very beautiful lady as well.

Like Dazren, you've encouraged me to revisit Townsville Dougwe.

I had a bad experience of finding my way around then got the s**** with the place. Finally found my cousins place, and only stayed one night. disbelief

I'm going to see The Heat tomorrow. I always like a Sandra Bullock movie, but with Melissa McCarthy as well, I expect it to be a really good laugh. I've been following her for quite awhile now. Hilarious.

Take a look at this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xrRWYouKy0
