Hi, thanks for your comments, yes we have a tight schedule to keep, circumstances only allow us 3 weeks total to get to Qld- Burleigh heads, for a purpose. We could have paid an airline and hire car company to facilitate our need to be here, but, we decided to be nomads for a short time to experience and learn how to travel and live in confined space etc. Was unable to update wednesday - no i/net. We travelled from Narrabri to Glen Innes, where we spent a freezing nite, 1c, at a free camp, Beardy Waters. The weather was foggy then rain then sun but cold. Today travelled from Glen Innes to Palm Beach c/p- reasonable rates. went via Tenterfield, over the dividing range to Casino, Kyogle, Murwillumbah, Piggabeen and Currumbin, a very hilly twisty route but spectacular scenery. We will stay here until Monday, then decide whether to go back to Adelaide in the reverse way or go via Sydney. After the cold for last 3 days, 20 degrees is warm.
Good to hear all is going well for you.Can I ask how is living so close together going ?????
We are all packed ready to head off again in the morning ,but not as game as you we are heading northwards. I will meet myself heading back,as only got back here from being up north just over a week ago. This time I will have SHMBO with me.
Have to have the cruiser serviced in Rocky tomorrow,so will find a place up out of there to camp for the night.
Have not got any plans in place at this stage ,other than we have to be back in Mission Beach by the 9th of August for a relations wedding.( damn )..
You were brave Graden, staying at Glenn Innes at this time of year without power for the heater! Enjoy the gold coast... much warmer there.
If you decide to come south on the coast road, you'll find it very busy, the rest stops also very busy, and a huge contrast in every way to the cold, quiet country roads and towns of your previous route.
