Davlynh hi and welcome, now where do I start.

The Blue Mtn. area is fantastic part of this world. The 3 Sisters Lookout good start to the day over looking Echo valley

and just down the road from the main shopping centre, next take a trip across on the Scenic Skyway follow by a trip

down the Scenic Railway into the Jamison Valley. Walk around the valley floor for hour or 2.

Jenolan Caves, Kanangra Walls further around for some great short bush walks, Historic Zig Zag Railway is great.

For some out of the way places Rlyston/Newnes would be up there.

I liked Wombeyan Caves, down there they have a good camping area, its at southern end of the Blue Mtns N/P.

Now I did do some day trips into the forest over looking back water of the Warragamba Dam just below Wentworth Falls.

Now that was a real bute day in the forest walking to the various lookouts. There is some great drives to the north of

Katoomba via Bell into the valley. We did Mtn Wilson, Mtn Irvine and the Cathedral Ferns, it was dirt road in those days I

had a fairly low car, no problems.

I have mainly kept to about 2 hours of Katoomba, hope this might help.

ps there is always Catalina Park raceway, motor racing was big time in the sixties.
