We are coming from south aust and we know it will be cold but we don't care, we have all the books on what to see but anybody got any not so well known things to see. will stay in the area for a week or so..
I think the books and tourist guides available at Information Centres spell out the best things to see. Katoomba and the Jenolan Caves would be my faves. I hope you enjoy yourselves.
Gerty Dancer the road into Womdeyan caves from Mittagong would need care as it has challengers in it.
I was thinking from the Oberon side was quite alright, I must confess I had crew cab ute filled with caming gear when I was down there and didn't think about the challengers of a caravan. Come in from Mittagong and departed towards Goulburn.
I know it high on my list to go back to look further about the caves system as we were on a limited time frame needing
to be else where at that time and along way to go.
The next time I will have my van with me and time to spend, relax and enjoy the area.
I did google Wombeyan Caves site and it said caravan/ mobile home sites available.

Be aware that the road into the Wombeyan Caves campground is steep and winding, When we were there we didn't see any big caravans, only camper-trailers and tents. Lovely spot!
